In this issue: Forms, Forms, and More Forms Coaches Corner Tiger Nation “Of all the properties which belong to honorable men, not one is so highly prized as that of character.” -Henry Clay | Forms, Forms, and More FormsThere are many UIL forms, documents, and presentations that must be reviewed, understood, and signed in order for a student to participate in Athletics. This year we have condensed all forms that need to be signed and returned onto one main signature page. That signature page will go home this week. My hope is to utilize the electronic format to help reduce the use of paper and follow the campus LEED Standard. Hard copies will continue to remain available upon request. The following forms, documents, and presentations must be reviewed for all students wanting to participate in Athletics: Tex Hill MS Boys Athletic Policy, Concussion Acknowledgment Form, UIL Rules Acknowledgment Form, Sudden Cardiac Awareness Form, Steroid Use Agreement, and the UIL Safety Training. Parents will have an opportunity to electronically fill out the district Mandatory Athletic Participation Forms for their athletes at the conclusion of the meeting utilizing the computers in the 6th grade and 7th grade Collaborative Learning Centers or you may begin filling out these forms from home by clicking the link above. Coaches CornerWe would like all of our athletes to stay active this summer. Please click here for general and registration information for the Tex Hill Iron Tiger Camp. All athletes must have a current physical and signed camp waiver form on file with the coaching staff in order to participate. Please click here if you are having difficulty printing out your Camp Waiver Form. Please click here for the Boy’s Summer Calendar. *Note: This calendar is a working document and dates are subject to change. 2015-2016 Boy’s Athletic Parent Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 14, from 6 pm-7 pm. The meeting will held in the main gym for both the incoming 7th and 8th grade parents and athletes. Tex Hill MS and The Baptist Health System will be hosting Athletic Physicals for the 2015-2016 school year for our Tex Hill Athletes on Wednesday, May 20 for $10. The 7th grade boys will line up for the physicals at 3:15 pm in the main gym and the physicals will begin as soon as the 7th grade girls have completed their physicals. 6th grade boys will get lined up after school in the main gym and will begin to get their physicals completed after the 6th grade girls have finished their physicals. The physicals will run from 3 pm-6 pm (approximately). This is a great opportunity for your athlete to get their physical so that they may begin participating in athletics and our Iron Tiger Camp immediately.
